Open Evening Visitor 2019

Annual Review and Open Evening -  Thursday 13th June 2019

Visitor and Guest Registration Form

You are warmly invited to join us at this event. The evening will provide a good opportunity to find out more about the group, to savour the enthusiasm of those involved and the atmosphere of the Group, to meet members and helpers, and to see examples of activities afloat and ashore including just a touch of formality.

A wonderful evening coming up at our sailing and power boating base at the Norfolk Broads Yacht Club, Wroxham Broad! Our Open Evening is a most enjoyable and informative event for ALL Members, Friends and Parents. This year there is no review by the Royal Navy but the Group will be reviewed by other VIPs from Norwich School and local scouting. Many different activities will be going on and we hope that you will walk around and see as many of them as you can.

Come afloat - our motor launch Octavi will be coming alongside at the front of the Clubhouse from time to time to take guests onto the broad to see more closely the activities there.

The evening runs from 6:00pm to 9.00 p.m, and guests are welcome to come along for all or any part of the evening.   A tour of the event and briefing from the Group Scout Leader, Ian Hayward, will take place at 6:45pm, meeting outside the Clubhouse.

Thank you for registering and we look forward to meeting you at the Yacht Club.

Directions to Norfolk Broads Yacht Club

The entrance to the Sailing Club is via unclassified roads about a mile south of Wroxham Bridge (Ordnance Survey reference 308165, for GPS users a little south of post code NR12 8TS).

Driving from Norwich on the Wroxham Road, cross the railway bridge on a double bend as you approach Wroxham, turn right at the mini-roundabout, follow the road left and right, take the next left (signposted to the broad). After half a mile or so, where the road goes round to the left, turn right into the Yacht Club driveway.
