The qualification is suitable for coaches wishing to work with paddlers from any paddlesport discipline, and is available as either a bank-based or a boat-based award, and is certificated as either a single discipline (canoe or kayak) or dual discipline (canoe and kayak).

Candidates wishing to book on to a Level 2 training or transfer course must register with British Canoeing or their respective Home Nation Association.

It is advisable to do this at least 2-weeks prior to the training course.
